DO NOT BRING YEAST TO THE BREWERY

Once again, Alley Kat Brewery has generously allowed us the use of their equipment to brew one of our recipies. This year will be a saison which can be almost endlessly modified at home.


What you need to do

  • email bigbrew@ehg.ca to reserve your carboy now
  • show up before 1:30
  • pay $40 at the door when you bring your carboy

  • How the day will look

  • brewing will start around 8
  • if you want to get dirty, wear long sleeves and/or gloves
  • you must wear pants and closed-toed shoes
  • hang out with experienced and professional brewers
  • BBQ starts at noon - Beer $5 - Burgers $5

    Other stuff


    For the love of all that's holy, don't bring yeast into the brewery. For one, you don't want to contaminate the brewery, but also, once yeast gets into the wort, it's technically beer. That means that excise tax needs to be paid on it and unless you want to fill out a bunch of paperwork and pay the tax as well as never being allowed to do this again, just don't bring yeast to the brewery.
